Perched against the hillsides of the ancient landscape known as Ugab Terraces, Vingerklip Lodge is luxury in the Namibian desert.  The 35m tall pillar of sedimentary rock, the Vingerklip, which the lodge obtained its name, is one, if not the, most remarkable rock formations in Namibia.  Vingerklip, meaning Finger of Stone, stands humbly above the vast, uninhabited lands between Swakopmund and Etosha National Park, in the heart of Damaraland, making it the perfect stopover between places of interest.

Tucked amongst the hills in a timeless valley the Vingerklip Lodge sits on a 3,000 ha farm that is surrounded by wildlife fence that aids in the protection of the areas large numbers of game.  In addition, Vingerklip lodge has their own 1,600 ha private reserve and 3 waterholes in various locations around Vingerklip lodge, with the main waterhole floodlit during the night, offering spectacular wildlife viewing of the areas many species including:

All are frequently sighted visiting the waterholes and along the many walking trails.

Vingerklip Lodge offers 22 thatched bungalows, 2 luxury units with a small kitchen, and a brand NEW luxury unit, Heaven’s Gate, set on top of the Ugab Terraces (only accessible via a short walkway).  5 bungalows are suitable for families with two children.
